About Osteopathy

Your body is the wisest and safest physician.

Osteopathy is a holistic discipline of medicine founded by Andrew Taylor Still in the late 19th century.
It is based on the body’s inherent wisdom and its ability to self-heal, regulate, and evolve.

Osteopaths believe that this wisdom represents the body’s ‘inner physician.’ Essentially, the body’s own wisdom in health and healing is the safest and most effective medicine for each individual.

The practice of osteopathy is centred around aligning with the body’s inherent intelligence, guiding each individual toward health and well-being.

The role of the osteopath is to assess and remove any barriers that may be limiting the body’s self-healing capacity.

“Osteopathy is to me a very sacred science. It is sacred because it is a healing power through all nature.”
